Maureen has been a physical therapist for over 30 years and has been in the outpatient orthopedic environment almost her entire career.  Maureen grew up in New Jersey and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. In December 2010, Maureen received her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from the EIM Institute of Health Professionals and completed the Executive Program in Private Practice Management. In 1983, Maureen joined Sports Training Physical Therapy of New York and shortly after opened Sports Training Physical Therapy of New Jersey working hand in hand with the renowned personal training facility, Sports Training Institute.  By 1997 the company had grown to 11 locations and was sold to HealthSouth.  Maureen continued on with HealthSouth for a few years but in 2004 decided to re-open her own practice where she again quickly grew the practice to 9 locations by successfully blending her corporate experience with the personal touch patients sought in a private practice environment.  In 2016, she sold her company to Professional Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Maureen’s outpatient therapy experience successfully starting, growing and eventually selling practices, makes her the perfect fit for Medkita.
